I do Reformer Pilates quite regularly and I have done so throughout my pregnancy until teachers and company started making me feel uncomfortable about going.
Teachers made modifications whenever I went but then clearly called the office to 'flag' I was pregnant and going to normal classes.... At the time, they had no pre-natal.
I get contacted by them some time later in regards to their pre-natal offering... GREAT! Oh no wait, at 3 pm in the afternoon. As a working woman, no chance I can salut the office at 2 pm to go and do my pilates class, so who are we exactly targeting here?
After being contacted, I realise my profile has been marked with a 'pre-natal' flag. Booking a class becomes almost impossible... I start feeling to have been black-listed so show up at a class as a drop-in and guess what... there are spots available!
Not finished here! They call me later the same morning telling me I am not allowed to attend their normal classes. This is how far they went to ensure my 'safety'.
I am really disappointed in the way they handled this. If they really cared, a) they would put pre-natal classes at a time working people can attend b) they would train their teachers to adjust the classes in the way they do for new starters.
But hey, I can always go for private classes, for the affordable fee of 90 per session!
