I spoke to a woman manager of the surgery around 3 months ago, I raised the issue I have of when I ring I'm in a que to get through to the automated voice selection, even though I'm 1st in the qu it keeps me listening to that music until I hang up... If I get past the automated part I again go into a que, no problem waiting but when I'm always 1st in the qu.. Today I rang and the same thing happened, 1st in qu for over half hour so I hung up... I have since realised I'm ringing when everybody is at lunch but I'm not supposed to know this, when the staff go to lunch, the phone system dosent say this and keeps you left there in a que waiting for their lunch to end.. I mean cmon

Not good. A few weeks ago I spent a whole morning trying to get through to this place on the phone. I got so desperate to speak to them that I called them from both my landline and my mobile and was in their queue, with a phone pressed against each ear while waiting for someone to answer the phone. I was phoning on behalf of an elderly neighbour who was distressed because the district nurse had not turned up as arranged. When I finally got to speak to someone at the surgery after about 2 hours of trying, she gave me the number of an agency which manages the district nurse appointments. She said that the surgery had made an appointment with the agency for the district nurse to attend and I would have to speak to the agency directly. When I called the agency, I was told that the surgery had not made the appointment and I would have to call the surgery back. Another wait on the phone for well over an hour. Eventually, the surgery apologised and said that they had failed to make the appointment with the agency for the district nurse to attend. I was late for work that afternoon and had to explain my lateness to my manager. On another occasion, I rushed to the surgery with a urine sample for the same elderly neighbour because the surgery had told us they would have the result in 2 days if I could get the sample to them before 10:30am. I delivered the sample in time, but the result took more than 2 weeks to get back to us. Today, I have tried calling the surgery and there is a message on their phone system saying that they are closed for staff training. What a way to run a public service. If this was a commercial trader, they would have lost all their customers and gone out of business by now. I am disgusted, but am sure that the people running this place will not care what I think and that there will be no improvements made any time soon.
