Normally I have a great experience at this particular store, I've lived in the area for just over 9 years now and have never had any complaints about them until now. Just before I went into this store, I went to the spar close by to get myself some double cream, Smirnoff raspberry vodka and strawbs. I then checked this store to see if they had any Peach Snapps. I walked in with the Vodka clearly on show, one of his co-workers saw me with it as I walked in. I checked and found they didn't have any, when I tried to leave Mushab Ahmed accused me of stealing it. I told him exactly what I had said above, and he doubled down saying he'd seen me take it off the shelf. So I went back inside with him, he served some customers and then checked the alcohol section where he quickly discovered they do not even sell the item he accused me of stealing. He said again that he'd seen me take it off the shelf. I told him to check the CCTV, that way it would be known for certain (even though it already was) that I didn't take this item - let me reiterate, that they don't even sell! He said he couldn't check the CCTV as the manager was not here. I offered to give them my number so the manager could give me a call. He said it wasn't necessary, and then he checked my id (something he didn't even need to do and now has me mildly worried for my safety as my id obviously has my address on it). I feel embarrassed and humiliated, there were people in that store that I have known for a long time and he has just publicly embarrassed me over a product they don't even sell. I won't ever be stepping foot back in this store and am going to put in a formal complaint. Such horrid behaviour from a place that I used to love and visit frequently.
