I have had the pleasure of working with BAM on two very different projects: The extension on my former house and the construction of an Eco home on a small piece of adjoining land, where I now live. Their design for the latter was so ingenious that it was nominated for a number of awards and featured in the Evening Standard (29th March 2018). From the very first meeting to completion I found BAM to be enthusiastic, imaginative and open minded. No detail was too small, no difficulty too large; Tom and Rocky took on responsibility for everything from light fittings to liaising with the local authority. They went above and beyond to resolve any issues that arose, whether with myself, the local authority, suppliers, or the sub-contractor. They delivered on time, were reliable and were always available for discussion. They have a genuine pride in their work and the service they provide. I found them to be ethical, environmentally responsible and socially aware - all important qualities that I value. I would, and already have recommended BAM to friends, family and colleagues and will continue to do so. I got exactly what I had envisioned and more; and I will always be grateful to them for the beautiful home they designed. Thank you,Tom and Rocky.

We used Studio BAM! to help us with an extension to our property which was completed in December 2019. Our experience of them through the whole project was excellent. They were very creative, professional and positive. They helped us develop a concept for our building project, guided us through the planning process, put us in contact with structural engineers and party wall surveyors, all of whom did a really good job. They proposed really good solutions for our restricted site, allowed for our creative input and made adjustments where necessary. They oversaw the contact with the selected builder, which was the most daunting part for us, and made weekly visits to the site to ensure all was on track, signing off work regularly, allowing us to keep the builder happy with stage payments. On top of all that, the whole job was finished on budget. Our project could have turned out as a 'bog-standard extension', but instead it is a really beautiful, functional, well-executed piece of architecture, and something a little more special - and that is thanks to the efforts of Studio BAM! I would be more than happy to recommend them.

Studio Bam came up with the perfect solution for a balcony for our raised ground floor flat in a large Victorian shared house. This sounds straightforward but as well as having to be agreed by our neighbours and pass planning it was complicated by practical problems. The structure had to be erected very quickly in our neighbour's property and not cause any inconvenience nor any damage to a small garden with constrained, narrow access. It had to be designed as a 'jigsaw', and the pieces fixed permanently without any welding on site. It was a puzzle. The balcony when in place also had to be able to come apart to allow our neighbour access to his roof that sat beneath it. Bam came up with a design that solved all the problems. But this job didn't just involve design and construction skills. At the time it was almost impossible to find a builder. We employed a builder recommended by our neighbours. Long story short these builders were a nightmare, bullying and unprofessional. Although these builders had nothing to do with Bam, Bam supported us and enabled us to take them off the job. Bam went that extra mile for us, giving us help, support and their time. The process of sacking the builders was very unpleasant for Bam too and we are so grateful to them. We were fortunate in that we next found and excellent builder. What a difference. Bam supervised the work and the job couldn't have gone more smoothly. We are thrilled with the result. It's beautiful and it's received lots of compliments from the neighbours who overlook it.
