** See update at the end of the original review We had dinner with friends at the private room. A 6 course garden menu priced at 60 pp. we had no indication of the fixed menu or price when booking online or during two calls with the staff ahead of dinner. The setting is beautiful, the private room is cozy and the staff were lovely. Sadly all dishes were tiny , most not particularly tasty ( roast cauliflower in black garlic sauce the only exception - very tasty ) and amazingly it took the kitchen almost 4 hours to serve! Extremely frustrating and tedious. The vegetarian main was especially poor and more like an afterthought. Having eaten here once previously I know the kitchen is very slow , but this was world class. We came out hungry , tired and feeling like we were taken advantage of. Very disappointing. ** Update Conor reached out to us following our experience at Tillingham and invited us to have a meal on the house. We returned and had a really great experience. The meal was great the staff were lovely (they were always lovely) the service was prompt - even the sun came out. We brought 3 new friends and they also had a great time. All the best.
