Ingrid Massie - Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist

Grief Recovery for me was and is life changing, absolutely amazing work carried out by the Grief Recovery specialist. A "heart with ears" are the words used over and again and this is so true. I, without doubt, am recommending Grief Recovery to anyone who has suffered any sort of loss, It has a profound effect in the recovery from grief.

When Ingrid asked me to be one of her first clients due to 5 recent deaths and going through a divorce I thought- what can this possibly offer me that different to any other counselling which was unhelpful in the past?? WOW, this was the most amazing action based course for life long skills and recovery I have ever discovered. I even did it and enjoyed it in a group. I feel 100% whole again, I supported my 3 young children through these same awful events and I can say that they are the three most well balanced kids I know. Confident in expressing their feelings-happy to share. I have since become a GR specialist thanks to Ingrid and teach it to staff I look after in the NHS. I can honestly say time and time again its amazing. Don't be afraid- just do it anyway. You will survive and then be more alive. Olivia x

After the death of my husband and the very sudden death of my new partner I was left feeling completely heartbroken. I wanted my daughter to talk to Ingrid and for her to feel better. I could see how much it was helping and with some gentle encouragement from Ingrid I started the programme as well. It was a lifechanging experience for us both. Ingrid guided us gently through the process to feeling better with so much kindness and empathy. We walk and talk the language of recovery and are living again. Because of my daughters bravery and willingness to take part I did too and now I have to skills to help others as with Ingrid's encouragement I have trained to be a specialist as well. If you can be brave enough to take part you won't regret it.
