My parents stay here year upon year, and this year me & my 7 year old daughter joined them & WOW, where do I even start Yellingham Farm is simply AMAZING! From the gorgeous, spacious, trendy, immaculate rooms, to the delicious food & fantastic service, this place is completely unbeatable I literally cannot name a single fault with my stay, from start to finish its been impeccable, and I cannot wait to stay again Ive stayed at many places/farms over the years, but Yellingham Farm is heads & shoulders above the rest Thank you so much Janet & Ed, you are the best hosts ever!

A community group from our village of Upottery gathered at Yellingham Farm last Thursday and declared it one of their best outings ever. We gathered, sixteen of us, from 12 noon for a one oclock lunch on a gloriously sunny day which complemented the warm welcome offered to us on arrival.by Janet and Edward, the proprietors. Janet spent time introducing the extent and working of their farm - just 45 acres of an East Devonshire patchwork quilt of pastures and coppices tending sheep, pigs and horses. We were summoned to lunch at two generous tables in the cool shelter of a barn but with ample sunlight through the open doors. The meal consisted of an excellent barbecue, cooked by Edward with unlimited servings of grilled home-made sausages, pork chops and chicken breast accompanied by an array of attractively made-up salads and buttered new potatoes. There were no spoons laid out with the table settings and one might have been forgiven for thinking that that was it for the 17.50 cover charge. But then the coup de grce came with the grand entry of Janet and Edward trolleying in a clatter of individually filled dessert glasses each with its own teaspoon. This was not a choice between three delightful puddings but actually three each if one could manage them: first a fresh fruit salad, second a delicious cream base with red berry compte and a final death-by-light chocolate mousse with flakes of dark chocolate at its heart. The whole meal was topped off with copious supplies of good coffee, served to taste. Janet and Edward then invited those who could still walk to tour the farm and admire the poly-tunnel or the animals. This was not just a farmhouse lunch; it was simply a most attractive, generously and thoughtfully hosted dining experience.
