The Old Winery Cottage

We have just spent the past week here. Its a beautiful cottage, self contained with a log burner and hot tub. It is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer. The washer was very handy after the muddy walks thanks to the trusty British weather. It is very warm and cosy and comfy. We took our dog who was welcomed. It is very clean with towels to use and robes for the hot tub. Nice big bed too (felt bigger than a double but not sure if it was a king). Wed advise you to get an ordnance survey map if you plan on doing some walking but plenty of walks to do if youre looking for that sort of holiday. Newent village has a lot to offer with a lovely deli, pub (Kings arms) and Indian take away (Bombay Kitchen) plus lots of other shops. Mel is very friendly and often about to ask any questions. the wifi was very poor and often didnt work but we did get an ok-ish internet signal on our phones for Netflix etc. There is a DVD player and dvd collection. It is literally in the middle of nowhere which was perfect for us but if you need to rely on public transport or taxis then maybe not the best location.
