January 2023 - the Grade 1 listed church building has reopened following major works. Definitely worth a visit to see the transformation inside and to view the conserved medieval wall paintings. Environmental and conservation improvements are taking place in the churchyard during 2023 to introduce a wildflower meadow and a nature trail. The church is located along the North Norfolk Deep History Coast and is on the Paston Way path. A great stop-off point for walkers, cyclists and motorists alike.

Beautiful, welcoming church, serving a large area around Paston. Spacious grounds, plenty of seating, and based in a lovely location.

Such an interesting old church. The first thing you notice is that the roof is thatched. Once inside you are in a space that has hardly changed post-reformation. Indeed there are the rare remains of pre-reformation wall paintings. St Christopher, looking down on congregations of over 6 centuries, Black Death, Plague and idiotic wars. This is the parish church of the famous Paston family. The first of the Paston's were from the peasantry, in 2 generations they had climbed to the ranks of the lower aristocracy and left a wonderful historical legacy of letters, written over the course of 200 years that give us a sense of what life was like on these islands at a time of the wars of the roses and so on. One of the Paston women has her monument here, close to the altar, and looking smug and rather pleased with herself. Well worth a visit.
