Purchased plain white biodegradable sky lanterns for 12-99 for 10 via Ebay. I did note one of the reviews said they had noted some negative feedback however there wasn't any which in hindsight was strange !
I am familiar with lanterns of other makes and have never failed to get them to lift in the past, even in challenging conditions ! Tried 3, one after the other and would not lift prior to fuel cell running out (3-5 minutes).
The bottom 'hoop' of the items supplied was not a circular hoop as per the pictures, it was constructed of 4 straight rods joined at each end with string forming a very unstable square shape making the whole structure unstable in the slightest breeze, also causing the fuel cell to 'hang' quite low.
The following was sent to seller ....... 'Hi, very disappointed, tried 3 lanterns on same night (dry, only very light wind) the first 2 didn't lift at even after all fuel burnt, the 3rd lifted a few feet and returned to ground level. These were to mark the passing of a loved one, something we do each year at the end of a holiday in a special place, never had a problem with other lanterns over last 9 years. Will not be recommending these for obvious reasons'.
