So pleased to have discovered this place. I now get almost all my meat from here. Local, free range and amazing flavour. Good value too. I love that i can get the old fashioned cuts of meat like ham hocks which helps keep the budget down. Also using all of the animal such as the bone marrow which is amazing added to homemade burgers. Can we have some Garlic wood black pudding please!?

Simply wonderful. We ordered a 2.5 kg top rump roasting joint for a very special family occasion and it was absolutely perfect. Paul gave me advice on how to cook it and it turned out exactly as I had hoped. Five stars arent really enough! Thank you so much Paul.

I recently took the full day pork butchery course at Garlic Wood Butchery. Paul is a fantastic teacher and is clearly very passionate about butchery. I've come away with some new found skills and a rather large bag of pork - should keep me happy for quite a while! I'd highly recommend the course to anyone with an interesting in cooking, it's great to see where the familiar cuts come from and it gives you a real appreciation for high quality food products.
