No complaints and Ronseal type of pub (it's doing what it says on the tin ) it's a nice family pub with a nice menu and food you would expect from a village pub.

Five star pub, restaurant. Recommended. Mum's birthday, so we were looking for a good local pub, with good food and sensible prices. So out comes Google, and shuffle through several local pubs. Brother came over to drive us to our chosen venue and after a quick chat suggested the Village Inn at Park gate, as he had been there in the past and was very pleased with the place. Well he wasn't wrong. What a great place. The food was cooked to a standard where the chef obviously took pride in his trade, excellent. The food cooked just to our liking, was served on warm plates, delivered to our table in a very short time by a very friendly waitress and the portions were just perfect, though I did feel a bit like Adam Richman from the T.V. program Man verses food, whilst trying to finish the pubs biggest meal served. There mixed grill. One of the cheapest mixed grills I have eaten in a pub restaurant for some time, great value. We visited 1.30 p.m, the pub had a light trade, and judging by all the other diners they all seemed very happy. Five stars, recommended. Just one thing."Be warned" the pubs car parking system. If you don't log the car in with in ten minuets, or like some unsuspecting visitors forget all together you'll cop a 60 parking fine. But we found the staff were very helpful, showing us how to log our car in. "Cheers"
