We had a wonderful stay at The Barn in early December 2020. Such a good find, on the edge of Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve, the views are stunning. The Barn itself is lovely, cosy and well furnished with lots of gorgeous little touches (the owner put Christmas decorations up for us) and there was a pretty much fully stocked store cupboard so you don't need to worry about taking condiments, as well as a lovely welcome pack of local produce including bread, bacon and eggs. The owner was on hand to answer any questions we had and was lovely and friendly while still leaving us to our own devices! We couldn't recommend The Barn highly enough and will definitely return.

I rarely leave reviews but there was no way I couldn't when it came to our wonderful stay at The Barn at Banks Cottage. Paul, Deirdre & their woofs Mollie and Monty made our trip so memorable, when we arrived Paul greeted us and welcomed us into our home for the four nights ahead. Paul & Deidre had left fresh bread, organic eggs, bacon and a lovely bottle of plonk. They also learned on arrival it was my Mother in Laws birthday the next day and presented her with some beautiful gifts, these things are so often over looked by hosts but they make such an impact and are highly appreciated. The cottage itself is beautiful and when I say spotless I truly mean spotless. We were all a little apprehensive staying somewhere during these uncertain times but we had no reason to be! The Cottage has all the mod cons & although there are no pictures of the bathroom online it is truly lovely. We dropped on with the weather, sometimes hitting 33 degrees and what a beautiful place to be. The cottage is so peaceful and has the most breathtaking views across the RSPB nature reserve - Paul & Deirdre's Highland Cattle are so beautiful and can be admired through the banoculars they provide throughout the property. I woke up especially early on the second morning and watched as the mist rose over the reserve and turned a beautiful pinky orange. I recommend you do not miss the sunsets in the evening, sitting with a cold drink and watching the sun disappear have made unforgettable memories. If I could rate the hosts and this beautiful cottage more than 5 stars I would, my partner and I are hoping to return in the winter to see how the landscape has changed and have another relaxing, brain detox & to be at one with nature again. Thank you Paul & Deirdre (Mollie & Monty too)
