Holy Christmas!: their amazing Belgian Waffle with clotted cream, blueberry syrup, fresh fruit and (I think) a berry compote (Strawberry, Raspberry, Red berry(i think)). Extremely disappointing. Very few gluten free food options and the only gluten free cake (out of over 10 options) was the lemon drizzle. When it arrived I couldn't believe the tiny portion I received! For 3.95, I was given a little, thin rectangle about 4 inches long (you do the maths!). Also, we'd eaten the cake before the coffee's arrived. The restaurant itself was pleasant but we won't be back.

We stopped by to take a look at the galleries, there are also plenty of classes and sessions listed. We popped upstairs on the off chance they had a table so we could have a coffee and cake. The staff were all great and the place has a light and friendly feel. Word of warning, if you are gluten free or coeliac then there are limited choices, and the gluten free tray bake was significantly smaller than a slice of cake!

We had afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday, it was excellent. Started with a cup of warming soup, followed by four very well filled finger-sandwiches (our choice of filings) and finished with four deserts and cakes. Oh, I forgot the scones with jam and cream and the choice of about 15 different teas or coffees! All was beautifully fresh, full of flavour and very nicely presented. A fabulous afternoon!!
