Vane Tower Penthouse

We regularly holiday in self catering accommodation around the UK but have never received such a warm and friendly welcome as that which we got from Katie and Steve at Vane Tower. The pre-arrival information in the app was exceptional and friendly, personal text communications from Katie and a home made cake waiting for us on arrival meant we loved the place before we even arrived in Torbay. The apartment itself is very well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated in a convenient position above the harbour. We enjoyed spotting Vane Tower during our days out as you can see it from all around the bay. The location up on Vane Hill means the views are amazing and it was lovely to watch the activities down in the harbour and the boats coming and going. The location and the many, many steps both inside the property and to access it on foot does mean that this property is not at all suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties but if you're able to do the climbs then relaxing with the view is always a well earned reward! We have stayed in many locations around Torbay over the years but Vane Tower is by far the most impressive and comes highly recommended. A true home from home.

What an amazing property. Just back from a 5 night break. The rooms are all clean and beautifully decorated. Refreshing rainfall showers. The beds are so comfortable with luxury bedding. It is so quiet at night. We slept so well. The views are spectacular. The property is only a 7 minute walk to the harbour, shops and some great restaurants. The owners are very helpful, if you need them, but will not interrupt your holiday, if you want to be left alone. Would definitely stay again.

We recently returned from a wonderful long weekend at the Vane Tower Penthouse. Having never been to Torquay we were not really sure what to expect, but having now been, we are definitely returning. Vane Tower is an exceptional holiday let, beautifully decorareted, exceptionally clean and equipped with everything you may need on a holiday. The views were amazing to wake up to every morning. We really couldn't fault it. An added bonus was the Vane Tower App we downloaded and ended up using extensivey. We loved every minute and cannot wait to return.

A long overdue review of a simply perfect property! Vane Tower is without question one of the most beautifully positioned properties we have stayed at in the UK. The owners, Katie and Steve have thought of everything and they were so fabulously friendly and helpful. We literally could not fault a single thing! From carefully considered interior design through to respectful restoration of the original windows, it really is unique. Its impressive position above Torbay provides amazing views of the marina and out to sea. The windows on the top floor, giving panoramic views on all sides of the bedroom were so fabulous and we delighted in watching the big ships with our binoculars and watching the sunset over the bay. A stones throw from all the bars, restaurants and action of Torquay, yet in a beautifully quiet position where there was nothing but the seagulls to stir you from sleep! Thank you so much Katie and Steve. Absolute perfection!
