Had a fantastic day doing the Discover SCUBA Diving course with Mike. Took me clearly through each step of the process and was very encouraging in getting me to master the skills - getting a big under water smile and congratulatory handshake after mastering each of the exercises felt like he was proud of me and excited with my progress. Overall a great day and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying out scuba diving.

The worst diving experience in my life!!! The instructor (Michael) lost it completely at the end of the dive and started shouting at me because a piece of the BCD he provided broke and stopped working!! Despite it jeopardized my safety in the water, he accused me of breaking his equipment, he didn't let me getting changed afterwards, and was going mad at me because he will have to pay more insurance now that a piece of his equipment broke!! It was the inflator button that got stuck pushing air non stop in the BCD which restricted my breathing. Luckily it was at the end of my dive when we were at the shore. I chose to dive here because Michael was communicative on the phone and about the visibility conditions prior the dive. But I was surprised just after getting to the shop that he was expecting me to be the perfect pro diver not making any mistakes in the equipment assembly, and felt being judged after I said that I couldn't dive for over a year because i couldn't travel or do any activities because of covid. Instead of showing some understanding of the hard pandemic circumstances that we all lived, and accept having a client without diving activities in the last covid year, he chose to get upset and paradoxically repeating incessantly, that as he could have a refresher dive, I should have got one! Putting me as a occasional diver on the same level as a diver instructor like himself. Despite the shop being well located on the beach, having a cafe and toilets next door, Michael shouting at me that I am a bad diver at the end of the dive, not letting me getting changed, being short-tempered, being constantly frustrated with any difficulties arising when diving, has offered me the worst diving experience in my life! I dived previously in the UK, Australia and USA, the diving instructors were: welcoming, friendly, understanding, helpful and professional. Getting me to enjoy my dives regardless of the conditions, because, after all, what's the point if it's not enjoyable?!

I love this place. You cant fail to have a great time at a dive school in such a beautiful sheltered location like Meadfoot - and with cafe on the doorstep! Michael is such a good Instructor and so friendly, you cant wait to come back for the next dive with him! Hes not pushy or short tempered and will help you choose second hand gear to save you money. Just a top bloke running a great dive school.

Tried Paddleboarding. Great Instruction. Very friendly and welcoming! Also gave good advice about local area! Only issue was that there were no Debit/ Credit card facilities, but this did not distract from my experience.
