        "BETTESWORTHS 2023".. Over 17 thousand retail shops closed down for good in the U.K. for the year 2022, the worst in 5 years.. Approximately 30 / 50 retail units are closed in this local area, up for rent (25k / 40k per year).. ---------- 48 Shops are now empty, boarded up, vandalised in Torquay.. Devon Live January 13th 2023 (c).. ---------- Such high rents consume large percentages of unit merchandise sales, before staff wages, etc.. Some properties have been vacant for years so this retail company is not 'customer obsessed'.. As the local area is classified as being an impoverished poverty stricken area then surely the rents for individual properties should be reduced significantly.. "BETTESWORTHS 2023"..
