Esplanade Hotel

The staff are nice but this place is disgusting. It's in a great location, the bar is alright and has entertainers regularly. But the rooms, man oh man, we stayed for 5 nights. Not cleaned once, the cleaners did come to rooms, but honestly I couldn't tell you what they did, bins were piling up with rubbish, had to empty ourselves, beds were never made, sheets never changed. Towels never changed (despite following instructions), refreshments never restocked. Carpets, filthy, shower, filthy, walls, damp and filthy, curtains, smelly. It was quite an experience! But not one I'll rush to repeat!

First visit to Paignton. Hotel needs update outside and in. Rather shabby in places, but staff very helpful and friendly. Food was good and plenty of it. One of the lifts out of order throughout our stay, which made getting up and down rather difficult, as so many different levels and corridors were like a rabbit Warren. Just getting used to finding our room when it was time to leave ( after 5 days ).
