"WESTERN LADY FERRY SERVICE".. ---------- The Bay Ferry Service Time Table starts in April 2023, all journeys are subject to weather variations.. ---------- The Western Lady Ferry Service has been in operation for "75 YEARS".. The Iconic "FAIRMILE", now a museum artifact + such vessels have been replaced.. You can also take a once daily trip to Dartmouth on the ROUND ROBIN, returning in the afternoon via sea or by STEAM ENGINE PULLED CARRIAGES to Paignton.. On your breezy crossing you might see, 'DOLPHINS'..."GHANNETS", marine wildlife that can be seen any where, during the pleasant trip.. Skippers + crew are fully trained mariners so wish them a good day + listen to their commentary.. Absolutely brilliant trip from Torquay to Brixham. Never thought that we would see much wildlife but amazingly we saw Dolphins and Seals . The trip only cost 4 ( one way ) it was priceless such wonderful animals in there natural environment.

Did the sea train today 10/8 Ferry was an hour late departing even after being told it was running 15mins late with no sight of it anywhere in the bay was told we would still have 3hrs in Dartmouth. Arrived at 1pm told need to allow 30mins for ferry across to catch the train so had to leave at 3pm. I make that 2hrs!!!! Train journey was fine. Then had to wait til 4:55 for the open top bus that had a roof!!!! So all in all queued for best part of 2hrs in baking sun. Not good to say the least
