Landlords beware. Torbay council have a very aggressive attitude without any concerns for private landlords. Be aware that when it comes to renting your house to help releve the shortfall in council owned properties, the council do not look upon you with anything but contempt

TORBAY COUNCIL 2023.. ---------- Torbay Council refused to renew the lease of The Silverzone Clothes Shop, in their Fleet Street Shopping Centre, paid for with public taxes, in favour of an expensive shoe company, "CLARKS", charging the previous tenant 14:00 an hour for a security guard to protect the property as the "CLARKS" shoe company told Torbay Council that the previous tenant might trash the property before they move into their new location.. Devon Live (c). ---------- Torbay Council have increased the local council taxes again stating that they are / have improved public services in the area.,? Torbay Council say that new colourful lights costing the tax payer 250,000 will be put up to make Torbay a 'premier holiday destination'..! ---------- The Telegraph Tabloid name Torquay as one of the worst seaside towns in the U.K., "hideous + depressing".. Torquay has over 50 empty retail shops, 10 empty retail units at the Torquay Council Fleet Walk, which was purchased using public taxes.. ---------- INGLEWOOD 370 PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT 2023.. PERSIMMON HOMES.. A new row has erupted over a controversial plan to close the Torbay ring road for three months, with protesters having had their 3,600-signature petition against the proposal rejected by Torbay Council. Developer Persimmon Homes is planning to close the ring road between Windy Corner and White Rock in the new year to work on a new road layout and drainage for the 370-home Inglewood housing development. ---------- Persimmon Homes is based in YORK + the new development that is being built by them will ruin the natural open landscape for all time, is adjacent to a site of protected interest.. 800 new residents, 500 more cars, vans + motorcycles, 500 destructive cats that will kill all of the small wild animals in the area, hundreds of thousands of litres of extra excrement, drained chemicals + unused pharmaceuticals, hundreds of tons of extra household rubbish, hundreds of thousands of extra litres in water consumption will pollute the environment.. Is it any wonder that the new houses development will be viewed in the future as an abhorrent eye sore development backed by savage government profiteers, in Brixham they call them Abhorrent Government Pirates.. Courtesy of the government representative Andrew Dawes, who represents a government that allowed 51,000 immigrants to illegally enter the U.K., in the last 18 months, costing the tax payers 6 million a day, 42 million a week in accommodation fees, free food, free electric, free gas, free sewage, free pocket money, etc, with an additional 450 million being given to the French, who use their navy warships to direct illegal immigrants to the U.K. in foggy weather conditions.. ---------- DEVON LIVE (c) 2022.. CORBYNS HEAD HOTEL 2022.. Robin Chapman, who lives in a flat in Cromartie Point, behind the site, asked whether the internal level changes were your way of rubbing salt into our wounds. He suggested the top floor should be removed altogether to allow for the lift shaft enclosure to be installed. June Pierce, Secretary of Cromartie Point Residents Ltd, and chair of the Chelston, Cockington and Livermead Community Partnership, said she was objecting on behalf of the residents of the flats who continue to have very grave concerns on this development, and representing the residents of the Livermead and surrounding areas. She said the entrance to the site on Torbay Road was too narrow and the building was already far too high, going against the local and neighbourhood plans. She questioned why a plant area on the top floor was shown as uncovered, and added: The noise from machinery 24 hours a day will be totally unacceptable to residents. Added to the rooftop bar, restaurant and spa this will be a total blight on lives even if they adhere to promises to shut the latter facilities at 10pm and available for residents only. A matter for Licensing of course but important that this is considered by Planning. DEVON LIVE (c) 2022. "TORBAY COUNCIL 2023"..
