I posted up an urgent plea on Facebook after having been let down 3 times for someone to fit my laminate flooring. Chris messaged me and said he would be happy to help. I sent him some photos and he was able to fit me in that week. I received a message from a disgruntled customer of his warning me not to use them because their work was not good. At first this put me off, however after meeting Chris and seeing his work and hearing the other side of the story, I decided to give him a chance. I am a big believer that you cannot please everyone and that unfortunately in these types of professions there will always be attempts of defamation etc. I had no reason to be worried, Chris finished my laminate flooring for the hallway & lounge in less than 2 days to a very high standard. He checked in with me every step of the way, got on with his work - actually doing full hours with pretty much no breaks! The floor looks fab and I cannot thank Chris enough for his help. Hours and hours went into replacing our kitchen in the last lockdown and we only needed a door installing with some shelving to make a coat cupboard and store and a couple small shelves put in our kitchen to make a feature shelf. Chris quoted and did the work over 2 Sundays and it wasnt till after Id stupidly let him go I gave a closer inspection and found the work was really scruffy and not to standard at all. Cuts out of line and looking cheap, when plasterer came to look at the wall he had installed, I was advised the plastering couldnt be done as boards had been put on completely wrong with no door frame. Ive spoken to chris and told him what other builders have said, who arranged twice to come back and sort his bad work out but didnt show up. He then about 2 months ago after not showing up again, agreed to give a refund so I could get the work done to a descent standard. Still no refund. So sick of waiting am going to pay someone again. Not a good experience!!! Services: Furniture assembly, Drywall installation
