We had to take our Grandland in for a product safety recall. I was told the car was too dangerous to drive but they couldnt order a courtesy car until theyd ordered the part due to a very clunky system. I find it bizarre that a garage of this size does not have courtesy cars on site. It took a week to get the courtesy car, in which time I had to cancel a weekend away as I couldnt get there and my brother in law almost died of meningitis and I was unable to pick up my sisters kids so she could go to the hospital with him. I was desperate for transport and made that clear. I called to find out an update and was told the car would be delivered the following day to the garage and I would get a call to let me know when it arrived. The following day I received no call. The day after that I called again and was told the car was there but (a named person) had been really busy and hadnt called me. So I collected the car - it was a lovely Audi. Here comes the best bit. Three more weeks went by and I heard absolutely nothing. I wasnt too fussed as I had a courtesy car that was better than my own. However, I started to wonder if the car was ever coming back so I emailed customer services. Miraculously the car was ready the very next day. The explanation for the delay was that it took so long to get the part. But they must have coincidentally received it four weeks after I brought the car in and on the day I enquired where it was for it to have suddenly been ready the day after I checked what was happening. The car was delivered back to me without the customary vacuum and wash. I asked if this was customary later and they apologised and asked me to bring it back so this could be done. I am not taking my car back - who knows when I will see it again. I have asked for an invoice in the hope it will show me when the work was actually done. I was told this would be sent. This has not been sent. Disappointing service from start to finish and lack of communication appalling.

Fabulous service from Daniel Latham at Eden Vauxhall Torbay. Bought a 1.4 Astra elite. Beautiful car so well looked after by the team. Couldn't be happier.

Really good service from Eden Torbay. I live in Dartmouth - my Astra was undriveable (clutch master cylinder failed). RAC recovered the car to Eden on Tuesday afternoon, on Wednesday I was called and told the part had been ordered and early afternoon Thursday I was called to say car was repaired and ready (all under warranty). I could not have better or faster service - excellent communication throughout. Thank you.
