Rooms are very dated, needs to be brought up to date. Massive crack in the ceiling, carpets were dirty and the windowsil was full of cigarette butts. Definetly not worth the price paid. As for the evening meal menu very disappointed.

Since it is far easier to complain than it is to praise I will state from the outset that the hotel were exemplary by resolving my major issue by giving me an immediate full refund. My bedroom's bedside light was not working because the bulb had been taken out and had not been replaced. What was wholly unacceptable was having a previous guest's blood stained sheets placed on my bed. Shocking. If you are going to book then look out for the following: the lift is so slow that it is way quicker to walk up the stairs to the third floor and above; get lost on the complicated staircase!; be prepared to queue for the bread toaster (a friend called it the bread warmer"!), as it is interminably slow. To get the bread to properly toast, the conveyor has to rotate twice the sliced bread! The breakfast is plentiful, but it is produced using cheap ingredients. As other reviewers have said the hotel needs more than just a lick of paint. My friend, Geoff, sums it up beautifully when he asks "Where is Basil?!!!"

First time staying here with friends and kids not a bad hotel need bit of tlc the only thing I will say staff need bit more customer service training my opinion. Went for breakfast had to chase team for tea and coffee. And on top of that at 9.20am had a member of staff knock bedroom door see if I'm checking out early wanted to clean bedroom that not good .
