My partner and I had such a lovely stay at Glendower this weekend. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was large, clean and had a very comfortable bed! The best thing about our stay was breakfast, which is free and includes a full hot breakfast in their lovely dining room. The hotel was walking distance to town and the beach. We will definitely return, and would highly recommend it for a weekend trip away!

Glendower review They say it is the detailed little things that differentiate between a 5 star hotel and a 4 star hotel, and the same can be said about the Glendower and other bed and breakfast establishments. When you first arrive you are greeted by the hosts offering you tea, coffee and cake. Then you are shown to your room which is clean and pristine. When you look at the in room tea and coffee selection you'll be spoilt for choice. A selection of teas, normal or decaf coffee, drinking chocolate, sugar or sweeteners , a sachet of liquid milk or fresh milk in a thermos flask that's changed every morning as well as a jug of iced water not to mention the additional biscuits and chocolate snacks changed each day. The breakfast quality was exceptional with the normal full English and a vegetarian version as well as a healthier fruit based selection. The host Janette and Ian were friendly helpful and happy to advise on local places of interest and how to get around the Torbay area. They may have been running the Glendower only since 2020 but in that short time they have obviously adhered to excellent customer service which the clientele appreciate. If I am visiting the Torbay area again soon this will be my first choice of B&B. Highly recommended.
