The Westgate

A very enjoyable stay at The Westgate - wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Very clean and tidy with rooms serviced daily. Breakfast was fabulous. Our group of 3 do tend to get creative and nothing was any trouble for Karen and Lee. Evening meals are available if ordered in the morning - while we didn't take advantage it's nice to have that as an option and I'm sure they would be to same excellent standard as breakfast. In addition to their service, the advice and directions from L & K were invaluable. I've marked location down as a 4 as the hotel is a bit of a way from main attractions and that hike up the hill can be tiring at end of a busy day - on the flip side, as it's removed it's lovely and quiet at nighttime. Tips for other travellers... Turn left out of the hotel if walking into town as it's much quicker than turning right (thanks Karen - if only we'd asked you sooner LOL). The local restaurant - Mr Cook - has a great collection of movie memorabilia. The walk to nearby village of Cockington is well worth the effort - beautiful place.

Fantastic bed and breakfast in Torquay. Wonderful hosts who looked after us and made our stay very enjoyable. We enjoyed the holiday that much we have booked again for next year!:) Thank you so much to Karen and Lee for welcoming us and making sure we were well looked after during our stay. Sara and Sue xx

Had an amazing long wknd at The Westgate. Karen and Lee were so friendly and welcoming . Nothing was too much trouble . Parking was brilliant . Rooms immaculate beautifully decorated and bed comfy . Breakfast was beautiful and plenty of choice . Would definitely return . Short walk to harbour, beach and town . Ideal location Melissa and David
