The Charterhouse

I had 4 nights here and it was so lovely. I felt so safe and relaxed despite being on my own. Lisa and Christophe were so lovely and welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable and I loved the honey and lemongrass shower gel....it's smelt amazing . Breakfast was really good too, couldn't fault anything. I felt so at home here thank you xx

Prime example of British hospitality at its finest, wrapped in 5 star service, runned by hardworking professionals. Very convenient location in 15-minute walking distance to the town centre. Spacious rooms and very good breakfasts. The way Lisa runs her businesses makes you feel that people in Devon are much nicer in general. Will definitely stay again when coming back to the area.

Just visited with family for short couple days break by the sea. Really enjoyed rooms are very clean, breakfast outstanding and the host makes you feel so welcome as family. Would not find bad think to say about the place. Outstanding. Walking distance to the beach only 12min with the car 4 min all restaurants 7min driving. Ideal location if you want to stay peace and quiet but not to far from all shops, restaurants and the beach.

Rooms: Great view, very clean bright and well equipped Food & drinks: Breakfast was lovely, made to order. Nothing was a problem.
