For the first time in our 10 year relationship the husband decided to surprise with a mini break. I would've stayed in a rat infested bus shelter and been happy but i was more than happy with his choice! Warm, friendly welcome. Clean, homely room. Location far enough out of town so it's peaceful but not so far out you're miles away. Owner was warm, welcoming and friendly and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again

Great base in Torquay, beach within walking distance & plenty of restaurants. Adrian (host) was very friendly & has a great knowledge of the area so a good starting point. Room was clean & tidy, plenty of tea/coffee & more if needed! The bed was absolutely the most comfortable Ive been in whilst away & it deserves a 5* on that alone. The breakfast also top notch. Its made to order & plenty of choices. Full English/ scrambled eggs with salmon to name a couple plus choice of cereals, fresh juice, tea/coffee & pain au chocolate. A great little gem of a place amongst a whole street of B&Bs. Thanks for your hospitality Adrian.

Dont bother. When I called to add on an extra evening- so staying from 7.30pm on Friday 20th Jan(my birthday) to Sunday 22nd- it was agreed that we could check in late. You advised that you wouldnt be back until 7.30. We arrived at 7.25 - admitted 5 mins early- and waited for you. We called your telephone number and continued to ring the bell until 7.45 with no response. As it was so very cold sitting on your bench outside the hotel, we left and have checked into a different accommodation. I just wish youd have let us know if you were running late for any reason, or at least answered the phone or answered our email, but it was way too cold ( -1 outside) to wait any longer. We were so cold. Ive now lost payment for the original date. Not paid for the additional date. Such poor service. How this man has recieved his good reviews is beyond my comprehension. So rude to ignore a paying customer and leaving me, a disabled lady, and her hubby in the below freezing temperature, is diabolical. I called and called your number and random and rang the bell but was ignored. Disgusting treatment that cost us money we couldnt afford Not recommend in the slightest. Regards
