Barclays Bank

The weather today was beautiful and sunny, and I had a beautiful feeling until I went to Barclays Bank and that frowning woman ruined my day with her abuse. I wish all human beings would learn to smile, at least when we work where we are in contact with people.

Banks always get knocked but I never have a problem with this branch. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and knowledgable. Im grateful they still have staff to serve you and not machines like many other branches.

Says they are open till 1 but they close off the tills are 12. So why are you open? Great service when they are open but useless in terms of opening hours and trying to do business

On Thursday 29th October, a lady being served said very loudly she couldn't wear the mask that was around her neck as a scarf, as she had a temperature and the mask makes her hotter. The staff continued to serve her , then called over and served the next customer without sanitising the counter after the lady who said she has a temperature. I rang head office very concerned to be told they only have to wipe the counters once every hour. They also told me the incident didn't even happen therefore they didn't need to review how often they sanitise customer areas. Even though head office admit to NOT viewing the CCTV I have banked with Barclays my entire life, my mother opened my first account when I was just 6 months old. Given the incredible lack of care during a global pandemic, I shall now be banking elsewhere. I will be closing all 3 of my Barclays accounts as soon as I open a new one with another bank. Maybe Santander, I hear they have sanitiser on the door for all customers to use and that they wipe down the counters after EACH customer.

Sloooowwww service.. at least get someone to stand by the door and help people (generally the elderly) to learn to use the self service machines so they don't hold up hours of queuing time to pay one bill..
