Chapel Cottage is a fantastic property for a short or long break down in Cornwall. We hired it for a 3 day break Friday - Monday to enjoy some good food and great golf courses in that area. The house offered everything that we wanted and more, hence the 5* review. The location could not be better for wandering the little back streets of Padstow or strolling along the harbour side looking for somewhere to have a drink, grab a bit to eat, or devour your third pasty of the day!! Everything Padstow has to offer is quite literally on your doorstep, although being set back from the road, down the little alley is a real plus and gives you some privacy. The house is tastefully done and I understand from email correspondence with the owners that it is having a bit of a makeover during the winter so can't wait to go back and see what they have done. The double rooms are really good sizes, the bathroom has a nice powerful shower with a ready supply of hot water (trust me this is a plus as I've been to places where this was not the case) and overall the feel of the cottage is homely, fresh, and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped but we tended to eat out or on the run as that was so easy to do. We will certainly be booking again in 2017 to see what the owners have done and would highly recommend Chapel Cottage to groups and couples alike. Can recommend St Petrocs Bistro for a nice meal out, Barnicutts pasties from the Spar shop (I was a cynic at first too but these really are the best we found) and the Shipwrights Inn for a nice pint of Cornish ale.
