This was by far our favourite place we stayed on our road trip through Scotland! You have to stay here! Standing proudly on a beautiful hill just outside of the lovely town of Portree overlooking green hills full of grazing sheep, Tor View was a stunning, secluded spot that was easily accessible and perfectly located. Murdo, our host, was one of the friendliest and most informative on our trip. He had great advice for things to do in the area and, if your interested, can share in the history of the area too. Our room was very modernly decorated, spacious, spotlessly clean and came with the bonuses of floor to ceiling windows making the most of the view and a jacuzzi tub in the cozy bathroom. You hardly knew other guests were there as the room was nearly soundproof. There were extra treats with the great tea and coffee selection and the breakfast in our room in the morning was nothing short of luxurious! We took advantage of the location, doing the two hour loop of Trotternish in the evening, allowing us to avoid all the crowds and enjoy the sunset views, and beating the Portree crowds to the old man of Storr hike in the morning, just 10 minutes up the road. Our stay at Tor View was one of the highlights of our whole trip - support businesses like this one!
