Bought 3 specials (lemon Sole) last night plus chips etc, was sickened to find in 2 of these fish contained large egg masses(roe) the size and length of my index finger! when I cut in I was horrified to find deep fried roe spilling out onto my plate. This made all of us feel sick, had to put it in the bin. Called to highlight this , spoke with Theresa who said I should have requested the fish without the Roe. Was told this was not a fish and chip shop as not everyone gets their fish from Billingsgate like Olivers do, would inform their chef of my call. Really, customer always right and you should let them be aware that could be the case , that the fish could contain this. My name was taken and offered a discount on my next visit but on reflection dont want to risk this again. I must say that in the past Ive never had a problem with Olivers, I didnt like the way my call was handled, very defensive and made to feel it was my fault for not selecting de roed fish What a waste of 41!
