We like to visit National Trust sites and this is another lovely place to spend a few hours. Excellent and informative guides (special mention for Ian and his enthusiastic rendering of the history of the house), lovely walks and an array of wildlife - including peacocks.

What a lovely house and very friendly and helpful staff. And beautiful gardens and looking for the sculptures was great fun added a couple but go along a find all the others and the peacock had a lot to say.
