I can't praise the staff enough..super friendly and helpful. Very welcoming. Food is average at best. Atmosphere is ok. Great location and if you like a quiet place it's quiet quite often. Menu could do with an update. My 5 stars are for the staff. Front of house is excellent.

The place was very quiet and I liked the look of the menu. The iberico pork was nice. The flavours were good but the textures of the other bits were off. The green beans were overcooked while the new potatoes underdone; red wine jus was a watery gravy, tomato sauce with the starter was so thin it wouldn't stick to the skewer if you dipped it. Also 2 tiny bits of chorizo on the skewer, one piece with the end twist still, felt a bit underwhelming. Given the reviews it sounds like maybe chef was having an off night, but I was the only customer in there for half my meal. Service was friendly, and it was lovely to see extra time being given to a regular too.

Lovely staff. Average ambience. Disappointing food. Had to send one of the steaks back as it was well done when asked for medium. Came back and it was well done again. But couldnt wait longer so ate it. Nothing offered by staff as an gesture of good will.
