Cancelled my MOT on the day 4 hours before the appointment. The reason being, the tester was sent home with illness. Why do you only have one person qualified in MOT testing? I told the person over the phone I had booked the day off work, to which he seemed smug, unbothered and offered zero incentive, except rebooking it in 4 days time... Like it's very easy to give such short notice for booking yet another day off work. To top off the clownery, as I had already taken the time off work, I then asked if there was any spaces available today in other halfords autocentres in the region and his answer was something along the lines of "I don't have access to their database on the computer in front of me". How hard is it to pick up the phone and ask them yourself? I came here for my MOT last year as it's only a couple minutes drive from my house. One of the workers, who seemed visibly exhausted, told me that they was understaffed on mot testers. And a year later they still are. Management must be a nightmare I cancelled the booking entirely and luckily Protyre in Abingdon done my MOT a few hours later, on 3 hours notice of calling them. Passed me and were much more professional.
