Not disability friendly. Well...I actually stopped here to ask directions to a disabled toilet for my son, the young man was very helpful and gave us an idea of where to go. I then realised the shop was full of unique stationary which my husband is a collector of and there were some busts which I was interested in buying. The man spotted my autistic son was interest in the solar system and told us of a display upstairs which would be of interest to him. Lovely interesting guy who was about the make the store money! I told the gentleman we were going to come back after the bathroom when I had my husband with me. When we arrived back to the store my husband took my older son upstairs whilst I waited downstairs with my 4year old, hoping to ask a staff member to help me buy the items I had previously seen. Unfortunately the previous staff member wasn't there but a very rude young lady with glasses walked over and asked me to leave as pushchairs are not welcome in the shop. I tried to explain this was actually his wheelchair for the day and my husband was upstairs. I wasn't listened to, instead ushered out and told perhaps I should look at shopping online in future. I left with a lump in my throat trying to hold back tears from being made to feel stupid and embarrassed for going in a shop with my disabled children. When my husband came outside he said he hadn't made any perchase as the second lady in the store had followed him and my older son around so closely it was uncomfortable and clear she was watching for breakages or shop lifting rather than there to offer customer service. What a horrible horrible experience that started so well!
