The Curtain Shop

After five years or so the electric connections on the outside awning fitted by The Curtain Shop gave out. Within three or four days the problem was fixed by the shop and all was up and running. Thanks!

This has been a very disappointing, expensive, and ultimately unfriendly experience. We had expected a discussion and advice as to what style of curtain header would suit the age and style of our house, and were repeatedly told, unhelpfully, that we could have anything we liked. The curtain headers did not look right and were changed - at our expense. When fitted, the fitter (from the store) agreed that the original style was too formal for the room. We paid a lot more than we would have done if we had had the curtains made by Brittania Rose (who made our bedroom curtains, which look lovely), because we were less confident about our living room and hoped and expected that The Curtain Shop would provide advice to prevent an expensive mistake.

My wife and I visited with plans to purchase curtains and support a local small business. We were made to feel rushed, like they didnt want our custom and generally uncomfortable. The person serving us provided a single quote despite us being interested in several fabrics, said shed follow up with us but didnt take any details. I could go on, long story short, the person serving us was just rude and seemed to have prejudged us as either not serious buyers or buyers with a budget not worth their time.
