During the past 10 years or so, my Wife and I have popped into Uhuru whenever we visited Oxford. There is a good selection of organic/wholefood products including some that are difficult to find in other similar shops. The shopkeepers are nice, polite, and helpful.

We have shopped here for so many years We have found lots of new products that's have become favourites. The family that run this shop have my respect and admiration for serving the community and with the best products. They make delicious soups in the winter too. It's so hard to stick to your principles in the current climate and for so many years. Rents and landlords in Oxford make things so hard it's heartbreaking. A cute and lovely store. Hats off to the ladies and their supportive family for spreading that support to those of us neighbours that need and want decent food : )

I always use Uluru Wholefoods store. For the last 10 years I have popped in for the organic essentials I like to buy. The owners leave you to your own devices without any hassle. They are kind and attentive if you need help. I have noticed they have carefully selected products which they know people like in the area. If you ask them about a make they stock you see a lot of care, time and attention has gone into what they stock and why. A great shop and asset to Oxford.

The owner is quick frankly bizarre and rude. It is interesting to note that another review picks up on this, as well as the over pricing. I was dumfounded, looking at some Suma soaps that had been priced according to weight rather than the standard RRP, also noting that samples were being sold as opposed to given away WHEN the owner suddenly demanded that I empty my pockets! She literally searched my pockets (I could have refused but had nothing to hide) and when she found nothing, did not even think to apologise for the unwarranted accusation. I may have pointed out that her pricing policy was the only kind of theft going on in that shop. I will never go back in that shop on the basis that they do not deserve my custom. And just to add, see the bizarre and unprofessional response to my review from the Assistant Manager. Says it all really. No concept of customer service or apology for poor conduct despite a whopping 40 years of experience. The idea that I go around fabricating reviews? Hilarious!
