SCHMIDT Oxford

Just renovated a small mansion flat with tiny kitchen (3.1m x 2.1m) with intrusive old pipes and gas meter. We sought a hardworking kitchen using every inch, custom-built to avoid wasted plinth and cavity space. All packed into an L-shape, to leave space for a small dining table. Schmidt delivered. Ellie worked hard on a plan overcoming the physical obstacles. Astonishingly, in a 2.1m run she fitted a full dishwasher underneath a boiler cupboard incorporating appliance storage, a sizeable sink over a large garbage disposal and Qooker tap, a pedal bin plus a pot and pan cupboard. On the longer wall she squeezed in an oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, broom cupboard, drawers and ceiling-height cupboards. She went the extra mile to secure good deals on appliances and Silestone worktop and splash back. We were very happy with the price and with Schmidt's full-package service. Luc and Susanne handled our building delays with understanding and good humour. Aldo the cheery fitter came out on a snowy December day of cancelled trains to work on a freezing building site. The result is sleek, modern and beautiful. One would never guess the challenge.

I love my kitchen. Luc was very helpful, suggesting changes and ways to optimise the space. Everything was done to make sure it was fitted as quickly as possible with no delays. Highly recommend a kitchen from these guys

I'm really happy with my new kitchen. Our designer, Esther, came up with an excellent design: giving lots of suggestions to make the most of a difficult space. The quality of the units and work surfaces are superb and a definite step up from the mainstream suppliers. The quote was less than I anticipated and the Schmidt team worked hard on affordability with me. I was particularly impressed by their support post-delivery. Luc and Susanne were very helpful in reordering a component when a kitchen fitter made a mistake, and keen to see everything subsequently went smoothly. I would definitely recommend this franchise to anyone wanting a new kitchen.

Fabulous throughout! We were struggling to find exactly what we wanted elsewhere and then a call in to the Schmidt Showroom to get inspiration and a why not enquiry meant we were so impressed with the product, functionality and aesthetic that we sat down with Luc to discuss our ideas and ended up putting in an order. He suggested clever ways to keep to our original budget and we still got our uber cool kitchen at a price we could afford. Luc and his team were excellent and friendly during the design process and beyond. The very deep drawers meant we could go with less wall units to make it all feel more spacious but with more storage than before. The units all arrived on time. We fitted it ourselves and Luc called in to answer questions and make sure that we were on track. Fabulous design and efficiency meant although tricky, in the end (with a little help :-) we got there. Perfection. We had a slight problem with a part but without fuss we were supplied a replacements which arrived as specified. Nothing about it we dont love here and we cannot recommend Schmidt Oxford too highly.
