I started using Boots optician because I am impressed by how professional everyone is. David and John, the two opticians are very knowledgeable and good with their jobs. Fast and accurate. Paul, the dispensing optician, is very helpful and friendly. I had to go back and forth a couple times to have my frame adjusted, Paul was always patient and helpful! Previously, I had been using Specsavers. I have always had difficulty finding a fram that fits me well. With them, my personal experience is that once you have paid for a frame, you are stuck with it! Whereas with Boots, there is an exchange period and the staff did tell me that before purchase! I am happy with an optician store for once.

Wandered in - to be greeted by a sign saying "no walkins" and assistant telling me dismissively I could look at the range of glasses, but that was it. I appreciate that a shop might be busy, but basic courtesy and a suggestion of alternative ways to help would be appropriate. Went to Vision Express instead, where the customer service was far better.

I've never used Boots opticians, but decided to use them after such poor service from the other well known Vision E. & Spec S. Amazing customer service. The optician that examined me was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The lady, Helen, that then saw to the glasses etc was great. Knew exactly what she was doing and she did it very very well. I couldn't be happier with the service I got today. Will never go anywhere else.

Terrible customer service. I arrived for my appointment and was ignored by staff for a good couple of minutes. Once they asked my name and I sat down I could hear the staff discussing me. The optician I saw was very brisk and just very quickly said 'you don't need glasses' with no further explanation I was then asked to follow her for my field of vision test but she then got talking about holidays to another member of staff and got her phone out and told me to sit and wait! At the end she just says 'see you in 2 years' and that was it. No information about how to pay or anything about my eyes. Definitely going somewhere else in future!

Previously, I had been using Specsavers. I have always had difficulty finding a fram that fits me well. With them, my personal experience is that once you have paid for a frame, you are stuck with it! Whereas with Boots, there is an exchange period and the staff did tell me that before purchase!
