Folly Bridge House is the ideal place for anyone who seeks to return from academic pursuits to a peaceful, beautifully decorated apartment in one of Oxford's unique locations. As a Visiting Fellow I appreciated being able to have libraries and departmental work space within walking distance. The owner has managed to furnish the studios with all the required necessities and the high-quality furnishings are beautifully complemented by pieces from her art collection. As a marathon runner I enjoyed my daily morning runs along the Thames Path and around Christ Church Meadow, watching the rowers from different Colleges train hard provided the extra energy to go the distance, and occasionally stopping to watch the ducks and geese get into a noisy fight. This place is truly an oasis, tucked away on the island and will surely delight anyone who doesn't just want "a place to stay", but an experience.

Folly Bridge House is a delightful place for a longer stay in Oxford. My studio apartment (Studio Iris) was marvelously decorated with the owners' gorgeous art collection. It had a lovely little kitchen, adequate storage space for all my things, and an excellently comfortable bed. A compact private bathroom with an excellent shower was just across the hall. The garden is beautiful and the fresh flowers throughout the house give it a very special atmosphere. Location-wise, it is wonderfully close to the centre of Oxford but the position on an island makes it feel like a retreat (and if you like to run or walk, it's super convenient for the towpaths!) I stayed in August-September 2021 for a seven-week visiting research fellowship and would highly recommend it to other scholars who are resident for short terms in Oxford.

Absolutely loved Folly Bridge House. Catriona and Kevan were wonderful hosts, really helpful, caring and interesting. We were very comfortable and the views were truly amazing. We could lie in bed and watch the Thames flow by on either side of us (yes, really). Folly Bridge House is ideally located for central Oxford. We couldn't have found a better place to stay.

My husband and I were moving to Oxford - frantically trying to find a place to temporarily stay while we looked for something a bit more permanent and through my search, I found Folly Bridge House! I could not have asked for a better place to start our time in Oxford. We stayed in Studio Melissa which had everything we needed. We were lucky enough to stay for a month and would highly recommend this place. Catriona was extremely accommodating. You also CANNOT beat the view and the location. Wish we stayed longer!
