Story time for those interested. Three years ago I was applying for jobs. I saw a role I was excellently qualified for, with 12 months experience in the exact same role at a more reputable solicitors firm as a paralegal under my belt. The local premises I applied to is a ten minute walk from my house, and the job description was perfect based on my then resume, so I applied directly but heard nothing back. This is not unusual. I shrugged it off that they must have other candidates. However several weeks later I was approached by several recruiters contacting me to say that they were desperate for someone to fill this role. I put myself forward through one of them, but again was turned down. The recruiter couldn't give any straight answer as to why and sounded very uncomfortable and fumbling when giving feedback on why there would not be at least an interview if they were desperate. Essentially they had just said no and there was no specific feedback, but they would not want an interview. They could not claim lack of experience or education, nor could they say I was overqualified either. Now, despite being a British citizen, my name is overtly Arabic and this has sometimes led to 'is it or is it not bias' experiences, thankfully rare. The failure to at least interview a willing candidate, located around the corner, who was more than suitably qualified if they were as desperate as described... This is one of those moments. I have heard of more conclusive reports of reasons to avoid Knights as an employee based on other people's experiences, but I am only sharing the facts of my story, not gossip, so you can draw your own conclusions. I saw the role available still 4 weeks after my received response therefore my rating reflects the only conclusion I was able to draw on the company. (*Note, the pay being offered was below average, so no love lost. I am pleased to have long been recognised elsewhere and hired upwards since then.) Jun 4th, 2022

Appalling and unprofessional behaviour from this firm. They do not even answer, let alone return, calls or emails. If your agent recommends them, walk away - from Knights and the agent who recommends them. They take a fat up front fee, and then do nothing. A disgrace. Mar 6th, 2022
