"A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS" Booked this "hotel" by Ctrip a month before check in, unfortunately we were told that due to a "technical issue", we need to be rearranged to another property, and we walked with the manager and our luggage to the new place at 46 Hythe Bridge St. The room was located on the 3rd floor and unfortunately there was no elevator in the apartment, so the manager and I have to carry the 30kg suitcase through the narrow stairs. Even through unfortunately the cleaning will be charged for 60 a day. It is good that the manager was nice and the room was quite equipped and modern. Fridge, dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, and washer/dryer all by SIEMENS; Floor and mirror are heated in the bathroom; heater is located in the living room, corridor, and bedroom; lightning is throughout all the corners. However, the manager told us unfortunately there is no air conditioning in the room. And this is where our nightmares continues. He was right, although we saw a Daikin AC in the bedroom, which cannot be turned on. This means unfortunately we have to open the window day and night in this hot weather in early July. Unfortunately, there is a pub across the street to our apartment; Unfortunately there is a trash can and a river below our windows; Unfortunately the sun shine through our window at 4am in the morning. Along with the loud noise, the bright light, and endless bugs, unfortunately we could barely fall asleep at night. And unfortunately this is our worst experience of staying (among either hotels, apartments, airbnbs, hostels, or campings) in the entire world. Maybe unfortunately there is a place worse than that. So, I suggest them to get that AC fixed or get one if that is a fake one. It could be a very good place to stay if all the essential is functioned, and unfortunately it could also be the hell if they are not functioned.
