Krav Maga Oxford is a very friendly group of people, Wayne is very open & approachable with a vast amount of knowledge, along side his support/assistant trainers. Classes can be modified for all abilities, & are well planed out for beginners or the more advanced. I always look forward to going to class, I thoroughly enjoy it.

Great classes, with all levels welcomed. I've learnt a lot of useful ways to defend myself. I always leave the sessions pumped up, and in a great mood :) definitely boosted my confidence and fitness level. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

My 17 year old son has been going here for the last year, and he absolutely loves it. Its effective, safe and very well-taught, Wayne is an excellent teacher as are his coaches. There is also a really friendly and helpful community of other learners. If you're interested in learning self-defence, fitness and having a useful hobby, look no further.

I started Krav Maga lessons just over three years ago on the advice of an ex-police officer when I was volunteering for a local museum and art gallery. He was keen to show me some of the basics in order to help me to protect myself in the event of a personal attack and furthermore recommended strongly, I find a class to attend on a regular basis. So, at the first opportunity I found a good class not too far away and began my initial training in self-defence. I continued my Krav lessons remotely during lockdown, when we would all meet up remotely in our kitchens via video link, for a 90-minute session of power-packed fun and serious self-defence training. As an isolated person during lockdown, to me this was paramount in keeping myself as safe as possible during those lonely times. How grateful I am to that ex-policeman who suggested I take up Krav. Change happens and sadly my first club closed at the end of the lockdown periods. Not wanting to let all my education go to waste and determined to continue with my self-defence training, I decided to head off in the direction of another club. British Krav Maga in Oxford was the first club I looked up and Ive been here ever since. Wayne our Lead Instructor was so easy to talk to on the phone when I first made an enquiry. He took the time to explain things clearly and invited me along to my first session. I joined the BKM club straight away as I felt so comfortable with everyone around me and my gut feeling was that Id come to the right place. I was able to judge from my own experience whether the club was of value. My findings were that the classes were vibrant, friendly and fun, with the same elements of serious, well explained Krav tuition I had received before. I found the BKM instructors extremely helpful and ready to explain things succinctly with acute clarity, demonstrating movements by defining key points and giving reason to the motions. Having found this class at BKM, I felt I would be able to improve on my initial training in an enjoyable and informed learning setting. Ive now been with BKM in Oxford for well over a year and have met some wonderful people and top-class instructors. Our instructors are well educated professionals who can deliver the programme in a focused learning atmosphere, where we also have a lot of fun. Wayne encourages slow movements to improve learning. Were lucky too, in that we have a knowledgeable and experienced female instructor who will carefully guide you through anything which appears challenging and in doing so, identify key areas of concern, making necessary adjustments for learning. As well as being a great class for everyone, this is the ideal learning atmosphere for ladies who want to learn Krav and self-defence at a steady pace and improve their confidence levels in a safe, secure learning environment. One notable point about British Krav Maga from my experience: if you really dont want to have fun and meet likeminded people, dont want to learn in a professional, well-informed setting, dont want to improve your physical wellbeing, reflexes, mental agility, strength and protect your personal space, then my advice to you would be to stay in front of the screen or the tele.
