I felt totally let down by the service. Here's the key points, in relative shortness:
1. I was told consultation was over 100 which I had mulled over and deemed acceptable. I was hounded for this payment by a barrage of unapologetically demanding calls right up till the days before my first appointment.
I'm guessing they've had issues with no-payments in the past. This 'hounding' made me reluctant to pay a company I have never used before as it seemed 'shady', for want of a better word.
Note to Lars: Don't hold all customers liable because of your past issues.
2. I wasn't ever told by the sales pitch-astute receptionist there would be more than one consultation.
Lars persuaded me to book a second meeting - without which, I could not go forward - and which he only brought up during the first meeting (and after I had paid, and BEFORE stepping foot into the building for the very first time), whereby he would arrange to do an X-ray - which only HE can deliver. Can't get it done by our little one's NHS dentist. He wanted over 100 for this too.
Makes me wonder what other hidden costs they will spring upon me. It's no surprise they want to clarify whether your child "goes to a private school" on the paperwork! Strangely, they don't care whether they board there (parents live remotely), or attend as day-children.
3. Before my very first meeting, pitch-friendly-Karen gave me an estimated figure to expect for what we were after. This was "about" 4000 for our school-aged child, who didn't have any major teeth issues that Lars noticed except for misalignment, according to him.
4. The lady that sat in with our first meeting, at the very end, quipped that the total cost would be almost 2000 higher with no change to our original request.
She looked upon us with an air of superiority which I can only put down to micro-aggression, right from the very offset.
I hope, they can fix this as it's not acceptable, not anymore, and never was but far too many people got away with it.
"ABOUT" 4500 was a promising figure to get the punters through the door and pushed aggressively to pay up, for wasting our own time. There was no explanation why the figure was much higher.
If it wasn't for the superiority-complex of the female meeting attendee; and Lars continually mislabelling me as a member of a certain ethnic group - when i'm actually English - I might have convinced myself to have our little one treated here without a doubt.
Just terrible service from what could have been totally different from a customer service standpoint.
