My children have taken swim lessons with Oxford Swim School at Oxford High School for the past 4 years. We have been consistently impressed with the quality of instruction and value for money, and also with the organization and clear communication. --The lessons are age-and-stage appropriate and small enough in size (usually a 4:1 ratio) that each child gets individual attention and instructors can comment meaningfully on their progress and focus areas. --At times when we've neared the end of a term, the management team has gotten in touch to recommend a 1:1 lesson in place of the usual lesson, to give the child in question that extra boost such that they are more likely to move into the next learning tier the following term. --The time slots are also convenient (after school/evenings Mon/Thurs or Saturday mornings, in half-hour blocks), and the management team tries hard to schedule siblings in the same time slot. --There's clear communication about when to show up the next term and what dates lessons will be on hiatus for half-term. --At one point when our youngest broke his collarbone, Oxford Swim School refunded the remainder of our payment for that term, since he could not attend lessons, and sent him a kind note. It is well worth a stint on the waiting list.
