Working with Duncan has been a pleasure. Right from the start he understood what we wanted, and worked with us and the contractors all the way through to achieve the right result. We are delighted with how the project has turned out, and would certainly recommend him to anyone thinking about embarking on any building works. Having him on board to oversee the bids, contract, planning and actual building has been invaluable. Thank you Duncan!

I am very grateful for the service and guidance provide by Duncan at Crawford Bond. From the initial consultation, through to the completion of our project we felt supported and in safe hands. The entire project has gone without a hitch and I certainly recommend employing Crawford Bond to manage the construction project once the plan are finalised. We are delighted with our completed extension and fully appreciate the value of employing a professional from the design through to the completion stage.

Crawford Bond Architects were recommended to us when were looking into options for a ground floor extension and creation of an open plan living space. Throughout the entire process from planning, through build, to completion, Duncan provided practical, pragmatic advice, guidance and support on all aspects of our project. We're really delighted with the result, which has totally transformed our living space.

Crawford Bond Architects Undertaking a major house renovation can be a daunting prospect and for me the very first step was to appoint an architect, so guided by recommendations I began my search. Dont see this as a cost, rather as an investment its all too easy to think you can DIY and save the not inconsiderable fees, but successful design is a hugely complex task and you definitely need a seasoned professional you can 100% trust and who has been through the process countless times and that invaluable experience and know-how is what you are paying for. My criteria included identifying a talented architect; RIBA qualified; but above all someone who would listen to my ideas, but add their own vision. Also engaging a local consultancy with knowledge of the area was critical, especially with regards to potential planning issues. Crawford Bond Architects in Oxford ticked all of these boxes and more. Their website was super helpful with examples of past projects for other clients and a crystal clear step-by-step guide to the process involved. What most impressed me was the end-to-end service they offered, providing introductions to Structural Engineers, a Party Wall surveyor, building contractors and countless other providers all of whom had worked with Crawford Bond Architects for the last 15 years+. The choices were obviously mine to make, but all of the contractors came with impressive track records and that was hugely reassuringand no cowboys in sight! Duncan Crawford was a rock throughout what was an exciting, challenging and stressful experience in equal measures. he was always at the end of the phone, as well as regularly on site to provide quality control, clarity, creativity and practical solutions to any problems we faced throughout the build. From the initial design stage; to drawing up contracts; managing the planning application and advising on endless minutiae his patience, good humour and calm demeanour was simply amazing and kept me sane! Two years later and the transformation of my home is complete and as if by magic, aka Crawford Bond Architects.

We engaged Duncan Crawford to do our loft extension from start (survey) to finish (contracts and management of building). We couldn't be more delighted with the results! A recent visitor called it, "a triumph!". We had a fairly pokey loft in a 1930s Cowley terrace, and Duncan's managed to transform it into two rooms and a bathroom that feel light and modern - and somehow even roomy? I don't know how he did it! Best of all? We were able to keep our box room on the 1st floor: Duncan designed a staircase that fits the space, without imposing on our hallway - and it (magically) doesn't feel steep or dark in the slightest. Duncan was the height of professionalism throughout the project: he was incredibly patient, took loads of time to answer all our questions and to help us achieve what we wanted from the space in a realistic and beautiful way. Thank you, Duncan!
