I almost fell into the trap of reading the bad reviews... Here's a very honest one.... We have had the best time! Micheal (lumberjack) is an absolute asset to the Kingswood team! I can't thank him enough! The staff here are lovely and really try to make sure the kids have a great time, Aiden (Aidrian ) was fantastic at our fire lighting activity. The reason for only 4* is the food is somewhat lacking. The portions for staff and children are generally very small and the quality of food was a little questionable. I suggest packing alot of snacks to keep children and adults fuelled properly. The accommodation is basic but you don't spend much time in the rooms anyway. They could do with updating but they are functional. Overall a great experience and I'd recommend.

This place is absolutely horrible! I came here on a school trip expecting it to be nice like its presented online but when I saw it in person I was shocked, it looks like an abandoned medieval building. I walked in and everywhere was dirty and dusty I felt so uncomfortable. I walked into my bedroom and the beds were of such poor quality and also dirty! The floor was full of mud and old gum it's as if they never cleaned the place and the food was horr

It was absolutely disgusting there was bed bugs and also moldy food.the yard was like a shrimps cage no changing rooms and my 16 year old sister had to change in a room with boys.the activities were horrible. My Sister had to climb a climbing wall that had blood on...and smelled like sweat and feet.i doubt they even clean it once a decade. There was crocodiles in a pond.the staff even said that they might climb out and Rome the building. There was no locks on the doors or showers/baths. DO NOT SEND A KID HERE

I would love to give Kingswood Overstrand a 5* because it deserved it. The only reason I haven't is because we found that facilities for wheel chair users weren't entirely up to scratch. That's not saying the staff didn't bend over backwards to help us. Pushing wheelchairs on soggy grass, bumpy paths and difficult slopes was very rough on our backs. We had 18 SEN students with us who took part in several activities over 5 days. We cannot fault the staff (Mackenzie, Lucy and Michael to name just a few.) We were treated like Kings.Yes the accomodation is basic, but adequate. After all you're not in your rooms very much. Toilets n shower facilities plentiful. The food was lovely. Lots of choice and lots of it if needed. Everyone was patient. We weren't rushed with anything. Our little group bonded and had a fabulous time We can't wait to come back again. Thank you
