I met Emma for a first appointment for a long-standing issue of adult tic disorder secondary to anxiety and stress. I was open minded and wanted to explore acupuncture in the hope it could help. After just one session all the tension and pain was released from my neck and lower head and I have had no pain in this area since. Quite incredible result. Tics were also a little reduced. I am planning on revisiting for more sessions soon as I feel it is very beneficial and can continue to have a good effect on reducing tic urges especially due to the accumlative effect. Emma was professional, kind and so knowledgeable , I was so impressed by acupuncture ! Thank you, Emma .

Having suffered from insomnia and severe anxiety without gaining meaningful help from the NHS I went to Emma with hope but a deal of scepticism. Within three visits my sleep improved and I began to banish the anxiety. I had booked a course of nine sessions and I can state that my treatment has been effective since I am now not suffering from anxiety nor insomnia. Emma is a highly skilled practitioner and a sympathetic person. Without hesitation I recommend her treatments.

After a search on the British Acupuncture Council website I contacted Emma Gordon-Stables of Acupuncture Associates. The initial consultation was comprehensive and I was impressed and glad to find Emmas attention to detail, professional knowledge and willingness to help me. I had an initial treatment followed by a course of 6 acupuncture sessions. I felt the benefits especially after session 3 onwards - I felt free of the chronic pain in my lower back and the acute pain in my right shoulder and neck, I had more energy. Emma diagnosed other causes of the pain and treated accordingly. After I completed the first course, due to its success, I then mentioned to Emma about other niggling health issues and I had successful treatment for my allergies and hayfever. Relief of pain in my hips and upper back and elbows has also been achieved. My overall health has been addressed and I feel amazing. Acupuncture was recommended to me by a friend. I admit I was a bit skeptical about how sticking needles into oneself could make any difference. I still cant get my head around how it works but it does and I highly recommend persevering with a recommended treatment course. It will now be my go-to therapy for my health and well-being.

I saw Emma in 2021 to assist with our 2nd IVF cycle, after our first was unsuccessful. From my first appointment she made me feel at ease and relaxed. I looked forward to every appointment and saw the time with Emma as an opportunity to relax and take some me time amongst the medical appointments, treatments, worry and stress of the IVF and work. I had a series of 9 weekly appointments and whilst sometimes, as Emma had explained would be the case, I felt tired after appointments they did not hurt and I often felt energised afterwards. Whilst I cannot say that the acupuncture was the reason behind the IVF cycle being successful I undoubtedly believe it hugely benefitted me personally through the whole process. I will be booking further appointments as my pregnancy progresses to ease the aches and pains. I would highly recommend Emma and her acupuncture to anyone to try. Thank you Emma.
