Dr Monteiro should be ashamed to call himself a doctor. I was recommended him by one of the ladies at the facial clinic to start Isotreitinoin for severe acne that has deeply affected my personal life. He allowed them to give me his number and said we could have a video chat consultation. After weeks of trying to contact him he finally picked up and I was prescribed the medication (a medication that is extremely dangerous and requires various safety checks in the UK- I am a pharmacist). He sent the first lot of medication without any blood tests (I sent him my blood results that I did of my own accord but he never opened the message). After supplying me with some tablets he never again replied to my message or phone calls trying to rebook to get more supply (this is a medication that worsens your skin before getting better and has very severe side effects linked to depression and suicide and malformations of the foetus if a woman becomes pregnant). I called the surgery and booked a formal telephone appointment, was sent an email of confirmation and was never called. This has resulted in me having to stop my treatment halfway through!! As this medication is so strong it is extremely difficult to get hold of. I am extremely distressed. Dr Monteiro has no compassion or consideration for his patients.
