My child has now suffered 3 acts of Racism at Wharncliffe Side Primary School. Initially he was called a BLACKMAN by a special needs pupil at the school. This was greeted by the Head Teacher with its only and he is a little boy, who doesnt know what he is saying. A meeting of the chair of governors was called and a report was due for the end of June 2017 to rectify the way the incident was handled. (never arrived) Not more than 2 weeks later , the child who did not know what he was saying , screamed N*GGER at my child in the school playground . When pointed out to the Head Teacher this was actually a criminal offence and classed as a HATE CRIME, I was told the school solicitors would be contacted if we contacted the police . Yesterday 11/07/17 at the school , my child was told by another mixed race child , your face is the colour of POO , when my child asked for a parent to be called , this was denied. He was then spoken to by the Head Teacher as she wanted to resolve the matter. The Headteacher said to my child you are pretty much the same colour, so its not that bad, leaves myself speechless. I had posted a review on the school Facebook page stating the incidents that happened at the school , these are fact not fiction . This was followed by a deluge of white parents defending the school , stating their white children had never suffered any racism . Followed by 1 ethnic minority person , praising glory on the school , this person was pointed out to be the "CHAIR OF GOVERNORS " partner !! When this was pointed out and looked quite embarrassing all reviews and the ability to review were removed from the school Facebook page . Only after this the Chair Of Governors decided to contact myself, thats 6 months after the initial complaint . He professed regret on the late reply . When pointed out he had been impotent and languid in his position to actually Governor the school, he stated he had now completed his investigation and non of the statements were valid . Why he would think he had any credibility to actually produce an unbiased report is astounding .
